Ready, Set, Grow!  Workshop Series presents Dahlia Daze: Everything you wanted to know about growing your own perfect dahlias! Dahlias, the dazzling gems of the fall garden are ever popular and to grow them takes knowledge and a measure of effort.  If you learn the correct way to take care of your dahlias you will be rewarded with beautiful, bodacious blooms and fertile tubers.  In this class you will learn about variety selection, correct planting, fertilization requirements and application, Integrated Pest Management, dis-budding for larger blooms, propagation, tuber care and storage. Tubers ready for planting will be available for sale. It will be a fun filled class.  Join us! 

Mimo Davis has been growing cut flowers for pleasure and profit for over 25 years and holds a Master’s Degree in Horticulture form North Carolina A&T University, and recently served at the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers Midwest Regional Director.  Miranda Duschack is an agricultural Cooperative Extension Educator with a focus on urban farming.   She holds a degree in Sustainable Agriculture from The Evergreen State College, is Permaculture Design Certified, and a beekeeper of 10+ years.

Registration policy: Priority registration access is given to those who register online through our website. Each of our workshops has limited availability, and while you are registering - we are farming. We are unable to accept "hold" reservations by mail until the final week of registration for any event that may have spaces available.

Refund policy (please note!): Refunds will not be issued for any workshop unless we, Urban Buds, must cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (catastrophic weather events, etc). Our workshops require detailed planning for materials and space, so we are unfortunately unable to refund cost if a participant is unable to attend due to a variety of issues.
